    ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

    Mechanical Engineering is an integral part of day-to-day life of human life in all spheres of Agriculture, Education, Amenities, Health, Business, Industries and welfare of the nation. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in our college during the academic year of 2011-12 with well equipped infrastructure like good location, easy access sufficient space for class rooms and laboratories and well qualified and experienced faculty members.

    To ensure the benefits of the students reach the largest possible segment of our society, while being a multifaceted service provider enable them to acquire knowledge become experts and to develop them to meet the demands of modern day industry and face the intense competition.

    To impart the best quality technical education at all levels based on the norms of appropriate authorities through continuous improvement, delivering quality services, update the range of course by providing the skilled assistant programs and training.

    To develop the institution on par with any other national level technical institutions in the areas of technical education, research, industrial interactions and entrepreneurship.

    FEATURES

    Designing and conducting tailor-made training programs for the specific needs of the students for almost every type of personalities – A UNIQUE AND POWERFUL AUTHORIING SYSTEM”. Designing and conducting the workshops and seminars on job oriented / self employment, personality development, management development, industrial relations and TQM. All the students can learn and get training through “FLEXIBLE LEARNING AND TRAINING SYSTEM(FLTS)”. Updating knowledge and skills of teachers and to keep the students abreast of the latest technology. A system of regular feedback and brainstorming sessions with the students to strive for the continuous improvement in the academic activities and achieve excellence.

    All the faculties are well qualified and experienced preparing the background study materials, visual audio and video presentations. They are participating and updating their skills and knowledge through faculty development programs every year.

    Opportunities

    Students will have the opportunity to work in diverse fields like Production, Industrial Engineering, Design, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. They also have the option to work in CAD/CAM fields, Computer Hardware and Software Development areas. A high percentage of students get admission to prestigious Universities abroad to pursue their MS Degree. Students who successfully graduate have tremendous scope in public sector and private sector organizations.

    Students of mechanical engineering learn about the machines that bring convenience and excitement to our lives. They study the physics that make roller coasters loop and planes fly. They learn about the properties of materials that can withstand the heat of the sun and the cold of outer space and they discover the secrets behind control systems such as the cruise control in the family car. A mechanical engineer will learn the science behind machines and the energy that makes them work. They will also apply what they learnt by creating their own machines.
